Welcome back to this third and final installment of this series of posts. 

In Part 1 and Part 2 of this series, we explored how decentralized technologies-particularly blockchains-can reshape the way AI and data systems evolve, based on a paper released by a16z. Part 1 covered identity, agent interoperability, and proof of personhood. Part 2 examined decentralized infrastructure, agent coordination, and new economic models. 

In this final installment, we’ll look at how decentralized registries, compensation, privacy, and user-owned AI companions could redefine the way we engage with the internet - if the right infrastructure is in place.


Section 8: IP & Provenance in the Age of AI Generative AI is challenging traditional intellectual property frameworks. Copyright systems weren’t built for models that remix, adapt, and generate content at machine speed. Blockchain-based registries offer a promising alternative - but only if they can handle high-frequency updates, multi-party rights, and complex licensing relationships.
